Visionary Capricorn Artists

For those who desire to pay homage to two awesome Visionary Women; do make note of these two sisters.

Zora Neal Hurston (January 7, 1891 - January 28, 1960) was born in Alabama. Her family moved to the United State's first all Black incorporated township of Eatonville, Florida, when she was just a toddler. She published four novels, two books of folklore, an autobiography, many short stories, and several articles and plays over a 30 year career span. She attended Howard University and Barnard College, where she became recognized as America's first Black female Anthropologist.

Eartha Kitt (January 17, 1927 - December 25, 2008) was born in North, South Carolina. An actress, songstress, dancer; she stated that she owed her longevity to growing her own food and raising her own chickens, even when she lived in Los Angeles, CA. She is most known for her 1960s role as Cat Woman in Batman, and her song, Santa Baby.,_Eartha/Pictures/
